The attached padding provides increased comfort, sound reduction, and insulation, while also helping to mask minor subfloor imperfections. This flooring is suitable for installation over most flat, level, or hard surfaces.

Maintenance is straightforward, as the flooring is both waterproof and stain-resistant.

For busy areas, regular weekly cleaning with a broom, vacuum, or microfiber mop will keep your floors looking new. Promptly wipe up spills to prevent stubborn stains. For a deeper clean, mop with soap and water or use a vinyl floor cleaner specifically designed for this purpose. Placing area rugs and doormats in high-traffic areas will help minimize debris.

Underlayment Recommendations

The following underlayments are recommended for use under vinyl flooring: QuietWalk Max, EcoSilencer Max, and QuietWalk Versa. Additionally, QuietBoard underlayment is recommended when paired with our waterproof Underlayment Seal Tape on seams to maintain warranty coverage. These underlayments help smooth minor subfloor imperfections, provide moisture protection (Class 1 vapor protection or 6mil Poly attached), and enhance insulation and sound control.

While this flooring is waterproof, moisture intrusion from concrete due to hydrostatic pressure, flooding, or plumbing leaks, as well as high alkalinity levels, can affect floor coverings over time. Moisture trapped beneath the flooring may also lead to mildew or mold formation.
