Two Types of Molding: Perimeter and Transition

Perimeter moldings are used to cover the area AROUND a room where your new flooring meets the wall. They are essential for hiding any gaps and protecting the edge of your new flooring. Transition moldings, on the other hand, are used to transition BETWEEN two different types of flooring, such as from hardwood to tile or from carpet to vinyl.
